About Nicole

Growing up in Southeast Asia until the age of 18, I had the pleasure of learning about various cultures, beliefs, and ways of life which taught me from a young age the beauty of difference and instilled in me the genuine excitement of getting to know people’s unique stories and the moments in life that have had profound impacts on them.

Since 2014 I have had the pleasure of working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a variety of populations including both adolescents and adults. Through my experience in each of these settings I have found a deeper level of compassion and amazement for individuals who are dealing with hardships and the resilience that they have.

I operate from a psychodynamic lens, helping clients to understand how their past experiences influence their present feelings, behaviors and relationships, and left unchecked, will continue to impact the future. I enjoy helping clients identify and understand their emotions and how they respond to them as well as observe their defense mechanisms, relational patterns, and ways of coping. Throughout the self reflection process I encourage self compassion and kindness to guide change. I use various evidence-based techniques depending on client needs and goals, often utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients understand their thought patterns.

I am independently licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho.

In my spare time I love spending time with my friends and family and getting outside when the sun is shining. Since becoming a mom (my absolute most favorite title) my passion for coffee has grown exponentially! So on a typical day you can find me trying out new coffee recipes and exploring different walking trails with my little one.
